As part of my final project at Kristiania, I created a visual identity for miu — a fictional makeup brand rooted in Y2K aesthetics and reimagined for today’s digital landscape. The challenge was to develop a brand that captures the playful nostalgia of the early 2000s while appealing to a modern, trend-conscious audience.‍

The identity combines pastel gradients, soft chrome effects, and minimalist layouts with references to early digital culture, resulting in a visual language that feels both fresh and familiar. Typography plays a central role, blending expressive detail with clean structure to balance individuality and clarity. Designed for versatility, the identity works seamlessly across packaging, campaigns, and social media, with both static and animated formats in mind. The result is a bold and curated brand universe that celebrates self-expression and digital creativity—positioning miu as a playful, stylish, and culturally tuned-in beauty brand.‍
